I've been cursed out by some of my colleagues in teaching for making and repeating this same point. Yes, I know there are some rambunctious youths in the schools without parental guidance who lack a respect for authority, but many teachers in MN teach with the belief that non white children just aren't as gifted as the ones who look like them. And that's a fact.
